The Sea Island Cotton

The rarest cotton in the world, by Beste

As soft as silk, as strong as linen, shinier than cashmere.

WHAT IS SEA ISLAND COTTON?

Sea Island Cotton is an extra-long staple (ELS) cotton variety, with a fiber length exceeding 50 mm. Cultivated in unique microclimates across the Caribbean islands (particularly Barbados, Jamaica, and Antigua), it combines natural luster, exceptional fineness, and unmatched softness.

Originally selected in the 18th century, it is now used to produce the highest-end shirting fabrics, tailored garments, and luxury limited-edition collections. Its silky visual appearance and extraordinary strength make it one of the most sophisticated and sought-after natural fibers in the world.

Fiber quality control

Spinning at certified partners (e.g., Filum Srl, Bergamo)

Weaving, finishing, and testing at the Colle and Usella facilities

The entire process is documented and traceable, from the raw fiber to the final fabric, ensuring ethical, environmental, and quality standards at every stage.
Every meter of fabric produced is supported by traceability data, laboratory testing, and certified origin.
